The Eaton Family in Liverpool

This page contains some notes on a family whose origins we are researching. Some families we know more about than others, but we hope that by publishing this summary here we can make contact and exchange data with people who can help to complete the picture.

The Eaton family we are researching lived in Liverpool. We are interested in the following generations of people who bore this surname:

Richard Eaton and Sarah Grindley (no details known)
James Eaton (1819 - 1861) and Alice Foster (1825 - 1889)
Richard Eaton (1844 - 1915) and Charlotte Teire (1846 - 1926)
Richard Eaton (1867 - 1928) and Jane Pedder (1866 - 1941)
William Griffiths Eaton (1903 - 1963) and Ivy Dawe (1908 - 1988)

All the information we have found relates to Liverpool. The family lived in the Scotland and Vauxhall area, just north of the city centre. There are unconfirmed reports that the Eatons originally came from Ballymena in Northern Ireland. We also have some information on the Teire, Pedder and Dawe family lines, again mainly in Liverpool.

Some of the names above are linked to the corresponding record in the on-line family tree. When you click on a link, the linked record will be displayed in a separate window. There you can see the family relationships as we understand them, together with notes on what we have found in parish registers, census returns and other records (some of the earlier references come from transcripts and have not yet been verified in the original source records).
