The Mitchell Family in Cornwall

The Mitchell family lived in the parish of Perranzabuloe, north-west of Truro. It was a large parish, including the town of Perranporth and many small mining and farming communities. We have traced our line back to John Mitchell who married Mary Kernick in 1733, but we are uncertain of all the family relationships, especially in the earlier generations. It has often been difficult to distinguish between different people with the same name. The family surname was also spelt Michel, Michell or Mitchel.
